"a full advisory service
to ease the burden"

Funeral Planning

We can offer the full range of advice on this topic. From a free, no obligation Funeral Planning advisory service, through to making full or part financial provision, in advance of your death, to make sure no nasty bills need to be met by family members and, more importantly, you get the funeral that YOU wanted and not what everyone else, however well meaning, thought that you wanted!

In an ideal world, the price of a funeral will be of secondary consideration for the bereaved family and friends. However, the fact is that current economic pressures, combined with limited market choice and price transparency, means that very often families feel obliged or pressured to pay more than they can comfortably afford – or else run the risk that their loved one might not receive the standard of send off or farewell they deserve.

With funeral costs rising far in excess of the annual rate of Inflation, it is an unfortunate fact that, for many families, budgeting for a funeral by traditional means may no longer be sufficient to cover the whole cost, particularly in the case of a traditional burial.

Executry & Estate Administration Services (commonly referred to as “Probate”)

Following a death, there are a number of tasks to be attended to before turning attention on the Estate (Assets) left behind by the Deceased. This can make an already difficult time even more stressful. Dealing with the death of a loved one is never easy but we offer a full advisory service to ease the pain and burden that those left behind may be struggling with.

Whether the death has occurred in Scotland, or another part of the UK or, indeed, overseas, we can help. In conjunction with our partners, who are a specialist Estate Administration organisation, we can ensure that all formalities are dealt with, in a timeous and accurate manner. Experience suggests however that an informal chat and explanation of what needs to be done will assist greatly in the very early stages. Don’t hesitate to contact us for a free and no obligation advisory chat or informal get-together.

By the way, “Probate” is the term used for the English and Welsh legal process of winding up the financial affairs of the deceased. In Scotland, we refer to the process as obtaining a “Grant of Confirmation”.
